PADDING WITH KAPOK : Kapok comes from a tropical tree which can reach up to 70 meters high and which is mostly seen in Thailand and Indonesia. It produces the fibre which has been used for ages by the Asians to fill cushions because of its precious specifications such as its waterproof qualities and its ability to recover its complete volume after having been atrophied from sun exposure. The kapok fibre specifically expel insects (especially stink bugs). Before one cushion is filled, kapok is cleaned by removing all weeds and plant remains which could be found in the fibre.
