Japanese Tatami 4 folds

Japanese tatami folding 4 folds. It is handmade by craftsmen. Each piece is unique and requires more than 30 hours of work. Covered with a solid weave the Japanese tatami is harmonious with Igusa grass on both sides. The tatami is woven in the whole width and without any seam. The braid is made of double-stitched fabric. Very strong (7 kg) this Japanese tatami will have a life of more than 10 years with simple and appropriate care.

This tatami is designed in the Japanese style and for use on the floor on a hard surface.

With its many microscopic holes it releases oxygen gas so you don't feel sticky on it. Even in hot weather it will give you a cool feeling and in winter it will give you a warm feeling. It does not retain sweat or odours. Its soft and flexible fibre will help to massage and stimulate the blood circulation.

Advice for use: Do not walk on the tatami with shoes or slippers. Do not place heavy, sharp or pointed objects on the tatami. Do not walk on the tatami with sweaty feet, it could cause stains.

Maintenance : Clean the dust with a dry cloth. Do not wash the Japanese tatami with too much water. To clean stains use a wet cloth. In case of stains difficult to remove you can use a wet cloth with lemon water or with diluted vinegar. Dry the tatami well in the sun after cleaning or use a hair dryer to dry it completely. After use, wipe it with a clean, dry cloth before storing it. When not in use, store it in a dry, well-ventilated place.
