Straw mat - standard

The straw mat is used in Thailand for massage and also for relaxation sessions. The mat can be rolled up and carried with you easily in the supplied carrying case. It can easily be stored under a bed or in a cupboard. The straw mat is padded with a thin 1 cm polyethylene sheet to make it comfortable.

Solid and harmonious, the straw is woven across the entire width of the carpet and without any straw joints. Fabric carpet border with double stitching.

Thai organic straw mats do not retain perspiration or odours and are naturally thermoregulating.

Maintenance : Clean the dust with a dry cloth. Do not wash the straw mat with too much water. To clean stains use a wet cloth. In case of stains difficult to remove you can use a wet cloth with lemon water or with diluted vinegar. Dry the straw mat well in the sun after cleaning. After use, wipe it with a clean, dry cloth before storing it. When not in use, store the straw mat in its carrying case. Store in a dry place.

Straw grows in the highlands of northern Thailand. It has been known for centuries for its flexibility, strength and lightness. When woven, straw acquires a raised texture, which stimulates blood circulation and also provides a massaging effect. Its fibres naturally contain innumerable microscopic holes that serve as air vents. They provide good insulation, keeping warm in winter and cool in summer.
