The Thai tatami is covered with a solid and harmonious weaving of straw woven in the whole width of the tatami without any straw connection.
The Thai tatami is designed to be used on the ground and on a hard surface. It can be used as a daily bed if you like firm bedding. The Thai tatami is especially the ideal tool for the massage and also for your sessions of relaxation. Perfect resonance of the Tibetan bowl. You can transport it very easily thanks to its cover provided with a handle of shoulder, foldable, it is arranged easily under a bed or in a cupboard.
The Thai tatami does not retain neither the perspiration, nor the odors and it is moreover naturally thermoregulating.
Maintenance : Clean the dust with a dry cloth, do not wash the stains with water. To clean stains use lemon water or vinegar which is also a good idea. You must especially dry the tatami well after having cleaned it. When you don't use the tatami put it in its cover of transport and store it finally in the shelter of the humidity.
The straw grows on the high plateaus in the north of Thailand. Recognized since centuries for its qualities of flexibility, resistance and also of lightness. Once woven, the straw acquires a relief texture, which stimulates blood circulation, and also provides a massaging effect. Its fibers naturally contain innumerable microscopic holes that serve as air vents. They allow a good insulation, keeping the heat in winter and also the coolness in summer.
Each part has a zipper to allow to change the polyethylene plates inside the tatami, these plates are protected by covers.
